Gus' Ride, Race and Event Guide

Check this page often for Gus' updated listings of all types of cycling events in and around New Hampshire and New England. Scroll down for info on  shop, fun, road, tri, cyclocross or mountain bike rides/races.  Rides require, at minimum, an appropriate bike in good working order, water, and a helmet. We suggest a spare tube, energy food, maybe a little cash in case we stop, and your biggest smile! Many rides are held subject to weather. It's a good idea to confirm dates, time and any specific requirements, too. We'll see you out there — and have fun!

Gus' Weekly Group Rides

Join Gus' ride leaders on one of these fun rides. Whether you are new to cycling or an old pro, there is a ride that's right for you.  Be sure to check out our "Local Maps & Rides" section to find a list of rides of all distances starting right from the shop.

Thursday Evening Women's Ride AKA Gus' Gals starts back up Thursdays in Spring 2022. Ladies join in the fun as we ride the Seacoast. All abilities welcome! We break up into different groups; fast, medium, social and really social. Please note you must be fully vaccinated and wear a helmet to participate. Roll at 7:30 AM

Saturday Shop Rides will start Spring 2022. A 25 mile group and a 40 mile group. The 25 mile group usually breaks into different groups based on pace. The 40 mile group averages over 20 MPH. Please note you must be fully vaccinated and wear a helmet to participate. Check our Facebook page if weather is questionable.




July 2021

Starting mid summer 2020. Century Club training rides. Ride with us as we train to complete a fall century (100 mile) ride. We'll be slowly building up our mileage each week using our training plan. We do the long ride of the weeks training schedule together on Sunday.

Cyclocross Clinic start late summer 2022. Designed for both experienced riders and those interested in learning the sport our clinics will focus on both skills and strength work. If you need a cyclocross bike they will be available for demo from the shop.

The Krempels King of the Road Challenge is a fundraising event for the Krempels Center, a Portsmouth NH based nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of people living with brain injury from trauma, tumor or stroke.
