Gus' Ride, Race and Event Guide
Check this page often for Gus' updated listings of all types of cycling events in and around New Hampshire and New England. Scroll down for info on shop, fun, road, tri, cyclocross or mountain bike rides/races. Rides require, at minimum, an appropriate bike in good working order, water, and a helmet. We suggest a spare tube, energy food, maybe a little cash in case we stop, and your biggest smile! Many rides are held subject to weather. It's a good idea to confirm dates, time and any specific requirements, too. We'll see you out there — and have fun!

Fall 2023 |
We meet every Thursday until November 17th weather permitting. The ride is along the Rockingham Rail Trail which has mixed surfaces Gravel, Cyclocross, hybirds, mountain bikes and fat bikes all work well. This ride isn't about the speed, it's about fun and fellowship. That being said there's usually a faster group that leads the way. We'll all gather in Epping and return for a total of about 15 miles. With the waning daylight hours this right will be eventually all in the dark, so bring a bright that will last at least 1.5 hours. You'll also want a repair kit with a tube that fits your tire. I |

Raid Rockingham combines elements of the area’s best gravel roads on a supported course, with a great party awaiting you at the finish. There will be cold craft beer on tap and some tasty grub to match, all at at the legendary Stone Church Music Club! This year Gus' is teaming up with Raid Rockingham to offer a no drop, intro to gravel ride on the 45 mile cours. Gus' will be offering a seminar, training plan, training rides and will be there to support you on the Raid. Warner NH |
The Kearsarge Klassic is, indeed, a gravel riding classic. Launched in 2012 the reins were handed over to GRVL Cycling in 2019. Now based out of the the quaint town of Warner NH the ride includes many of the same roads legacy riders have come to love. We offer challenging routes that includes a significant amount of packed-gravel riding and, to test your mettle, some climbing segments. The event is not timed, this is not a race. A properly prepared rider and a gravel bike of most any type can do this. Our guarantee – you will finish tired but feeling accomplished. At the finish, riders will be treated to a delicious meal and craft beer. |
